Seen... The Girl On The Bus

El último día (o mejor dicho la última noche de MBFWP16), cuando íbamos ya listos para el after party de Coup D’État Magazine en el Waldorf nos dimos cuenta que todas mis cosas se habían quedado en el carro de Alessandra Grau, una súper diseñadora amiga que había presentado esa noche.

Con solo la tarjeta de Metro de Roshni, nos montamos en un bus público para llegar a la fiesta y FUE LO MEJOR! Hasta sacamos fotis ;)

The last day (or may I say night) of MBFWP16, when we were all turnt for the Coup D’État Magazine after party at the Waldorf Astoria I realized I had left all of my shit at Alessandra Grau’s car, a friend of mine who’s a great designer and had presented her latest collection that same night.

With only Roshni’s Metro card we (me, Roshni and my best friend Guille) hopped on a public bus to get to the party and WE HAD A BLAST! We even took some photos ;)

No muchas veces encuentras personas con verdadero estilo en Panamá, así que cuando divisas una lo primero que hago es correr a pedirle una foto, ya sea para la revista o para el blog, lo importante es fotografiarla.

Exactamente eso fue lo que sucedió esta vez: no la conocía pero la quería fotografiar, especialmente porque me parece que es un look perfecto para la temporada que se acerca.

Living in Panama you don’t get to see that much people with great style, so when you finally spot someone you just run to ask her/him for a picture, whether it’s for the magazine or for the blog, the important thing is to document it.

That’s exactly what happened here: I didn’t know her but I was dying to take a photograph of her, she has such an energetic aura. On top of that she’s wearing something that I think would be perfect for the upcoming season.

It's been a while since I last uploaded a street-style post, being at an office all days really does not help; that's why I was so happy to have found this Spanish woman outside my building. 

Even though this outfit is very simple hence elegant, she's sporting one of my favorite combinations: classic Adidas Stan Smith and tailored yet slouchy trousers; I just love the way the fabrics falls to the hem to be cushioned by some old fashioned kicks. Definitely a duet I wanna sing!

Normalmente cuando pensamos en streetstyle pensamos en rubias en tacones o botas de Isabel Marant caminando por las calles de una ciudad cosmopolita con un Chanel bag en su hombro pero de vez en cuanto te das cuenta que estilo de calle lo puedes encontrar en todos lados, de diferentes colores, formas y sabores.

Exactamente por eso me fascina haber divisado a este personaje entre toda la multitud; hay algo tan encantador y envolvente en su look que cada vez que lo veo me gusta más y hasta slip-ons carga!

Of Carries and Diaries...

Hoy por fin saqué una parte de mi mañana para hacer algo que llena mi alma como no tienen idea: ver mis series de televisión – o mejor dicho internet. Una de las series que más estaba esperando era The Carrie Diaries, con todo y que se nota demasiado la ausencia de Pat Fields, me gusta mucho, sobre todo ahora en la segunda temporada que Walt ya esta afuera del clóset y que se mudó con Carrie al loft de Larissa, y please háblenme de la entrada de Samantha Jones en la serie, háblenme de eso!!

Por eso me pareció muy oportuno subir este retrato que le tomé a Chloé Bridges afuera de la presentación de  Alice & Olivia durante New York Fashion Week, les recomiendo que vean la serie que esta super guay! Bye.

Today I finally took some time in the morning to do something I really really love: catching up with my series. One of the shows that I was most psyched, The Carrie Diaries. I have to confess that at first I wasn’t that impressed by it, specially because of the lack of stylish visual stimulations, but know I’m hooked, even more now that Walt has embraced his gayness & that he moved with Carrie to Larissa’s loft in Manhattan, and what is there to say about the entrance of Samantha into the plot!

Taking account of this excitement I decided to show you the portrait I took of one of the actresses of the show, Chloé Bridges, better known as Donna LaDonna. And seriously guys and ladies, you should see this show, I know it may be cheesy and overly girly but who cares. Bye.
