Retro Glam Night

My excitement was not normal that day, I was super eager to see what Leanne had for us, since every one was waiting for that day to come, for real! 

I started my day in class (I know, lame) presenting a final, as soon as I finished there I teletransported to Casco Viejo cause the girls of Espacio Vintage had my outfit (horror story, I didn't have anything to wear until 2 hours before the event). It was all a complete rush but it all paid off, I ended up mega happy with the photos' outcome & thankfully, have received great feedback, it was all great teamwork, looking forward to work more like I did this time. 

Since I like to share most of my work with you guys here is a behind-the-scenes-video of the photos that are posted below, the video was made & edited by my brother in law.

Continuing with the event... OMG I HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME! Despite all the wardrobe delays & traffic-jam-tantrums I had before getting there, it was a night to remember (sort of... I ended up consumed by vodka & champagne & forgot most of it ahhahah) The most important thing is that it really felt like the 50's were there, not in essence, but the vibe was really alive.

The stands were great, some already-known-names by this blog were there like: Alessandra Grau, who made a special capsule collection inspired by our aboriginal people, Greta Bayo, who made tees with images of great divas like Liz Taylor, M. Monroe, Audrey, etc. Espacio Vintage, Diablo Rosso, Sara Bassan, between others...

NOTE: you are gonna spot an Audrey Hepburn & a Rachel Berry a lot in the photos, that's cause both were my date that night so... :)

Duran Duran - Girl Panic!

I just felt the urge to post this. This is just MAJOR, MAJOR MAJOR! This is the perfect type of menage a trois between fashion, film & music. Besides, Duran Duran is one of the old bands that I like the most & as a Madonna devote, Jonas Akerlund has earned himself the place of my favorite music video director (he also directed the whole Confessions Tour DVD which is my favorite tour ever made).

Ese es el nombre de la más reciente campaña de Steven's Panama. Buscando una relación más allá con los consumidores la campaña muestra las distintas maneras en las que puedes formar parte de la familia Steven's.

Tuve la oportunidad de estar en la filmacion/sesión de fotos de la campaña, la cual es protagonizada por nada más y nada menos que por Mariana Bayón, primera Mexico's Next Top Model.

Fashion that Connects, that´s the name of the latest campaign by Steven's Panama, one of the biggest department stores here in Panama (think of a toned down version of Sears). With this campaign Steven's aims to get in touch with their costumers in a closer & friendlier maniere, making them feel part of the Steven's family.

The leading lady in this huge campaign couldn't be anybody, so they brought Mariana Bayon, the first Mexico's Next Top Model, all the way from Mexico DF, making this one of the coolest campaigns this year.

I had such a good time in the backstage of the shooting that I obviously took my camera & prepared something for y'all...

So I've been away for some time & I'm really sorry for that! Been working hard at the studio, now I have two more jobs as a Vlogger for an upcoming über-cool platform that's gonna be huge here in Panama (it's called ThinkTank) where me, Olguita  & Veronica will be in charge of the Fashion section (we will be like the new Robert Verdis & Heidis &Tyras of Panama), and another thing that I'll be talking with you later (very cool btw).

One thing that's been keeping me pretty busy these days is Dashing Diva Night, it's a shopping night, full of glamour, fashion & glitter. It'll be a very exclusive evening, from 4pm to 10pm (open Moët!!!), you'll have 6 hours a mini runway show by national & international designers, the best brands & the most beautiful people in town!

One of the sponsors of the evening is my studio, NOVAstudios, so once they told me we were gonna be doing the TV spots & promos I knew we had to do something fabulous! Here are the 3 versions, the first one is the official promo for social media, the second is the TV spot that will be appearing in RedCarpet & MixTV, the last one will be appearing in the huge huge huge screens in Via España & Calle 50, pretty exciting huh?

Hoy es sábado 7 de agosto, son las 10.16 y estoy un poco sentimental, en verdad no estoy sentimental, solamente ¿nostálgico?. Entonces quiero compartir con ustedes tres videos que estan totalmente compatibles con mi estado de ñanimo ahorita mismo, el primero es Faithfully de Journey, Journey es una de mis bandas favoritas of all times, Faithfully es mi tercera canción favorita, tengo varias, pero ninguna puede reemplazar a Faithfully. Whataya Want From Me también siento que esta en la misma frecuencia que yo ahorita mismo, es tremenda canción y el video es sencillo yet bueno, Adam Lambert <3. Y el último, uff ese no tengo palabras para explicarlo, Matt Morris se ha ganado mi corazón y quién no lo haría con una canción como Live Forever, que sinceramente me derrite. Espero que los disfruten tanto como yo!
