Lacoste SS14 Show and Showroom

Dear New York Fashion Week, there is absolutely no way I have forgotten about you, in fact, I have been thinking a lot about you lately. I miss how organized the tents at Lincoln Center were, all the free Premium beers, all the “streetstyle Darling” wannabes walking all day long around Lincoln Center looking for they’re 15 minutes of fame and obviously, the great collections that I saw.

Amongst all of the shows that I went this season one of my favorites was Lacoste, only remembering it makes me wanna crawl under a hammock very early at a beach and cozy up in one of the soft jersey crepe tunics or the thrown knitted sweaters, they all gave me the illusion of a relaxed summer seduction as the body slips into the long and light layers of brushed cottons, raw-edge suede or evanescent yet fully resilient nylon organza. I think I may be daydreaming.

Back where we were. Felipe Oliveira sent down the runway a collection the clearly promoted fluidity without forgetting structure, liaising the paradoxes of chic sportswear. A look that’s neither evening nor morning, but both at once is consumed in a delicious washed out palette that reminds me of a summer sun white, the half-toned blues and greens of a morning beach walk, the clay browns that resurface after the ocean hits the rocks and the Rosy beiges of the morning mountain fog.

I swear to Madonna that when you see the pictures from the collection you will be instantly transported to: 1) a spa, 2) a beach spa, 3) a spa in the middle of the mountains, ¿which one would you choose?
