Con el título de este
post, aunque lo parezca, no estoy aceptando la propuesta de matrimonio que me
hizo Tom Daley como tal vez hayas pensado, en cambio estoy diciendo Sí a
algo mucho más importante.
Por muchos años fui esa
persona que le regalaba pijamas y vajillas a su mamá para el Día de la Madre (8
de diciembre en Panamá) pero ahora que tengo 21 he comprendido lo valioso que
es decir Sí
a invertir en un regalo que haga sentir a nuestras mamás, tías, abuelas, etc.
lo esenciales que han sido en nuestras vidas.
Mi mamá es una mujer muy
serena, es muy trabajadora hasta el punto que se queda días sin dormir con tal
de completar un objetivo; ella es artista plástica pero hoy en día trabaja como
directora en una de las divisiones del Instituto Nacional de Cultura.
Mi mamá también disfruta
mucho de la vida en familia y ama el hogar, quedarse en casa a leer algún libro
o tal vez ponerse a pintar algo, nunca la veras tranquila. De la misma manera,
puedo decir que mi mamá es muy carismática y de una forma natural exude una luz
de calma y libertad.
Me costó mucho encontrar
un buen regalo que reflejara todo lo que ella representa para mí pero al final
me decidí por algo que definitivamente constituye un espejo de la personalidad
de mi madre.
Sí
de Giorgio Armani es una fragancia que es suave y elegante, serena e intensa,
completa y luminosa; el perfecto regalo para mi madre en un día tan especial.
Su aroma es melodioso con tonalidades de crema de cassis, Chipre moderno, rosa
de mayo, orcanox y delicada madera de sándalo rubia (estoy seguro que no
entendieron nada de lo que acabo de escribir pero si olieran la fragancia me
entenderían).
En las palabras del
mismo Giorgio Armani, “Sí es mi homenaje a la feminidad, el coraje y
el valor de decir Sí de una forma entusiasta”, no se ustedes pero a mi me
parece que con esas palabras podemos asegurarnos que este nuevo perfume llegó
justo a tiempo para el Día de la Madre.

As I’m sure you may be thinking, unfortunately I am
not accepting Tom Daley’s marriage proposal with the title of this post,
instead I am targeting a more important subject that also demands a Yes as an
answer – or “Sí” for the
fancy ones.
For many years I was that son that gave his mother
pajama pants and home decor items even though she was not interested in them,
but now that I’m 21 I have learnt how essential is for a son to say “Sí” to saving money and giving my mother a gift that
truly stands for how much I love her (although we all know the best thing you
can give to your mama is note even tangible.)
My mama is a very dedicated woman whose personality is
as serene and calm as the sweet breeze of the morning, she is also very hard
working and sometimes stays up very late in order to finish something she
started. My mom studied Fine Arts in Brazil and has since then worked as a
director in one of the divisions of Panama’s Cultural Institute.
She is luminous and loves the homey life (is that even
a word?). She exudes charisma and freedom; everytime I get home my mom is the
one that calms me down.
With all that said, I had a very tough time deciding
what to give my mom for Mother’s Day (Dec 8th in Panama) but at the end I think
I’ve found something that matches her perfectly.
This new fragrance by Giorgio Armani perfectly called
“Sí” (Yes in Italian and Spanish) not only brings out the
melody that comes in being a woman but it says yes to the modernity of being
feminine and elegant. Its mix of Cassis cream with modern Chipre, May Rose,
Orcanox and delicate spearmint (if you didn’t get anything that I just wrote
don’t worry, when you get to smell the perfume you will understand.) make up
for a suitable gift for the chic mom that we all have.
Y obviamente también le
regalaré este perfume a mi mamá porque quiero que huela como la reina de todo
lo chic, Cate Blanchett.
And I am obviously giving this perfume to my mom
because I want her to smell like Chic Queen Cate Blanchett.
