BCBG Max Azria Spring Summer 2014

Finalmente comenzó New York Fashion Week – por lo menos para mí – y sinceramente no pude tener un mejor comienzo que con la colección Spring/Summer 2014 de BCBG Max Azria. Max y Lubov esta temporada decidieron irse hacia los archivos de la marca y renovar las clásicas técnicas de tailoring y las siluetas tradicionales.

Con una fabricación súper funcional que definitivamente brindará una practicidad perenne al que viste cualquiera de las piezas. Con telas como twills de algodón se pudo apreciar un ángulo fresco y relajado que por lo visto será el común denominador de la temporada – y que ya ha estado viéndose desde hace dos temporadas atrás. Como bien era de esperarse, los estampados no pudieron faltar pero en sintonía con la sensualidad de la piel de las modelos iba la suavidad de los trazos de acuarelas en colores vibrantes, los cuales jugaban dinámicamente con las líneas geométricas tan conocidas de la marca.

No puedo esperar a que esta colección llegue a Panamá y a pesar de que sea ropa de mujer estoy seguro que muchos hombres querrán añadir una de estas piezas individuales en sus clósets, y digo ¿quién no?

New York Fashion Week has finally started – at least for me – and there couldn’t be a better way to kick it off than with a really well made collection. BCBG MaxAzria brought us a stellar Spring Summer 2014 collection in which they dug into the archives of the brand – brand that is turning 24 this year.

A collection that featured the modernity of classic techniques of tailoring & traditional silhouettes, was constructed by a super functional fabrication that would definitely assure a timeless practicality could set the vibe of a whole term, a fresh & dynamic energy that can only be defines as the “cool energy of spring/summer”.

Cotton twills and dobbies juxtaposed against flyaway georgettes created a visible harmony with the beautiful & sensitive watercolor strokes of the prints – elements that cannot be left out of a BCBG MaxAzria collection. A perfect dance between deconstruction & construction along with urban edged staccato clutches & open toe botties will be coveted keys – not just items – for the next season.
