It’s difficult when an established
designer has a really strong clientele & then tries to move forward another
audience, worst is when this strong clientele consists of middle aged women.
Gaby & Norma Valenzuela are
really good at the craft of sewing, tailoring & embroidering a garment, I
even can state that they have one of the best finishing out of all the
collections that were presented, the serious thing comes when the structuring of
the collection takes the stage.
It’s such a shame that such a good
duo (mother & daughter) haven’t been able to make a cohesive collection
since the first time I saw them for the first time (3 years ago I think). Even
though the first half of the whole really made sense I lost the train of
thought after some of the big gowns, matronly is not the way.

difícil cuando diseñadores ya establecidos confían completamente en una sola
audiencia para después ver la efervescencia de otra venidera, pero más difícil
es cuando la primera consiste de mujeres adultas en sus 40.
Gaby
& Norma Valenzuela podría considerarlas unas maestras en las técnicas de tailoring,
bordados & cosido de las prendas, me atrevo hasta a decir que pueden tener
uno de los mejores acabados dentro de todas las colecciones presentadas. La
deficiencia vino cuando la estructura de la colección dijo presente.
Es
una lástima que este dúo tan bueno (madre e hija) no ha mostrado una sola
colección consistente en los últimos 3 años, con todo y que el primer cuarto
de la colección si contaba una historia en cuanto a color y silueta; perdí el
pensamiento después del sexto conjunto.
